The Trumman is being stupid as hell. I work in the diesel shop and was sent over their on Friday because they said they had a problem. They are only allowed 150 degrees between exhaust temps and they were running 160. They were only moving the boat a couple hundred feet! I watched ships force change some fuel injectors and it ran in spec. Should have wavered the whole thing and moved the ship. Drydocks parking costs a fortune.
Yea, earl screwed up painting the 75's hull too.. but I was referring to the sewage tank expoxy. BTW, is anyone familiar with carrier planning activity in Chesapeake? It's part of supship. I'm going over for an interview with them Tuesday. I have very little idea what they do over there, so it's mainly informational. NNSY is OK, but you never want to get too complacent. thanks
I am leaving NNS this friday after almost 2-1/2 years service. I am in E26, CVN21 piping design. I took a 6 months contract job with Gibbs & Cox making twice my hourly wage plus they are all workin 60 hour weeks there. Big Money.
