It's all in your head. That intake won't give you enough extra power to really feel it. Start driving normal again and your gas mileage will go back to normal.

how does it being 30 degrees outside change the ammount of heat the engine puts off?

all it is doing now is mixing that same hot ass air with slightly cooler air.

get a CAI.

what else have you done to the car? cause if you only addressed the intake, no exhaust, no ignition, no compression, then you've disrupted the 4 cycles. also, if it's a stock car with increased intake, it's also possible that the air density is being metered well by your car, thus the car is overcompensating with fuel to keep the intake charge at stoichiometric. more than likely, it's what everyone else was saying about you not driving 'normally'.

Finally someone got it right. More air means more fuel.
I have a question to the moron that said its January its 30D outside. Go out warm your car up and pop the hood. Is it 30D under there? Didnt think so. Your best bet is to go with a Cold Air Intake(CAI) not the short Ram Intakes because of the fact that you are inhaling warm engine bay air. A CAI will bring the fliter element away from the engine and closer to the ground or the side of the car where it can pull colder air(from our January 30D air OUTSIDE the enigne bay). Also Im not sure about this but would the longer tube on the CAI also give more low end torque?
