Hopefully they don't know the difference between the RS 2.0 and the regular xB. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out you don't have one if they find out they only come in Yellow.

I'm not saying let me pretend this is what is oem for my car, but would it being "oem" for the rs 2.0 would that make it oem for all xBs?

If it came as a factory option on your car then its not considered aftermarket or un-OE spec. For example I can use 91- 92 Saturn headers on my 98 Saturn SL2, btw 91-92 Saturn Dohc headers are 4-2-1 so I can use those on my Saturn even though its not 91-92 because it comes on the same model.

I don't see a problem with ordering online, or Big Al's installing it. The issue is whether or not the part, in your case exhaust, is factory or a factory option.

Well that last time I looked at my badge and patch there was no VHP on there. In Virginia, the Troopers work for the State Police not the Highway Patrol. So maybe, VSP fits a little bit better

Ban me? Why? If you have a serious question and can ask it in an adult manner, feel free to pm me.

i have a serious question, why do the local and state authorities target our tuner/import cars for exhaust, tint, to low, ect... specificly and not look twice at domestics. or even suv's with tint. ive never heeard of loud ass mustangs or bigs as trucks gettin exhaust tickets. and i even had a couple cops tell me they dont pull over mustangs and other muscle cars for exhaust b/c they say they like those cars

I can answer that...

Reason 1:
The local authorities do not target imports over domestics, it just works out that way most of the time because a lot of dumb drivers (usually kids) tend to drive imports. A cop will pull somebody over if they are acting stupid or annoying. If a cop thinks you are driving in an immature manner he will look for something to pull you over for (ie. altered suspension, exhaust, tint, etc...) It makes no difference what kind of car you drive, domestic or import...

Reason 2:
The police officer may prefer one kind of car over another, and it is the officer's discretion over who gets pulled or ticketed for what. Some cops are car enthusiasts themselves, and would be less likely to pull a WELL DONE import or a domestic because they think it is in good taste... But when it comes down to it, if you are driving stupid you will get pulled and ticketed for something, and having the laws set up as they are it is very easy for the officer to justify pulling you over.

I drive a lowered honda civic turbo, and I dont act dumb when I am driving. I will never race on the street, and with premium gas costing 3.15 per gallon there is no need to press the gas more than half throttle until the weekend when I can take it to dinwiddie. I have never been pulled for exhaust, tint, or suspension and I think my driving habits reflect on the reason why...

My friend was taking me out on a test ride today because I was thinking about buying his car. He did a U-turn, gassed it too much, diff locked up and he lost control. He didn't mean to gas it that much, but he did and it reacted because of that. Just happened to be a cop 4 cars behind us. We got pulled, so we pull off the road and the cop pulls in behind us. Then another cop pulls in just to check I guess. Atleast 4 domestics with louder exhausts than my friends drove by. Not once did the other cop, who was doing nothing, even attempt to go after them. Yet my friend got an exhaust ticket for his pretty quiet exhaust. Not saying the ticket was totally wrong, but come on, be fair about it. I've ridden behind trucks that sound like a semi running open headers and nothing happens to them when a cop is near. I'm not crying about them pulling people for exhausts, because it is the law, but it damn sure isn't a fair breakdown between imports and domestics.

That just reinforces my point. The cop saw him mess up when making the U turn and decided to pull him over. Do you think he would have been pulled over for his exhaust if he had not lost control when making the U turn? I doubt he would have...

Also, the fact that they were domestics that drove by is purely circumstantial. If they were imports, how do you know the cop behind would of chased after them? Before I got my exhaust run I had to ride around with an open downpipe straight from the turbo. I was cautious when driving and would press the clutch when driving past a cop and I never got pulled over.

And the fact is, more imports are pulled than domestics because generally imports are driven by kids who act stupid.
