thank beamer and the q.b.'s for
I told everyone that shit was going to happen. Murdering a slew of unranked doesn't mean your team isn't good. Kansas did play 2 top 25 ranked teams (Kansas State and Missouri). They had a horrible game and still almost beat #4 Missouri, and they handled #24 Kansas State. They still play in a tough conference (big 12) and even though they didn't play amazing teams they still have a bunch of decent teams they beat (Nebraska, Colorado, Texas A&M), teams that beat Oklahoma and Texas.
Kansas was a good team, just like I called Boise State over Oklahoma last year. Tech is lucky Kansas didn't put even more points up. I couldn't believe the penalties they had since they only average 4 a game. The score could have easily been two touchdowns worse (1 yard line and then penalties and last play of game).
Kansas was a better team, like I said before the game happened. Kansas might not be real athletic, but they have a great coaching staff and play with heart. Tech also had trouble figuring out Kansas' wierd Offensive and Defensive schemes. What good did it do looking at the tapes when they didn't understand shit? I loved the 6 wide receiver set.
Tech was cocky as hell, thinking they were going to blow them out. I loved the Tech fans with the signs "Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Missouri... Wait.... Kansas?"
Yeah, thats right, fucking Kansas baby. 12-1, and they should share the fucking title since they deserved to be there, just like Boise State last year.
Not really. They (VT) scored on special teams. KU did block that field goal, which was crucial. But really, Kansas' defense whooped up on Tech's offense. Everyone was talking shit about KU's second ranked offense vs. Tech's fourth ranked defense and how Hawaii got smashed by Georgia. I guess they forgot that KU's defense is pretty damn good as well, and Kansas was not Hawaii.
Well it's pretty easy to win when the quarterback(s) throw the ball to the other team. Take away those 21 points and you'd have a blowout. But Kansas looked good the entire game last night, where Tech didn't.

And actually, KU scored 17 off turnovers.
You hokies can come up with a million excuses. Without a total package team, you won't win. If your quarterbacks suck, then the team sucks. It isn't just their fault, but the whole teams fault. If that is were they are struggling, then they should work on it. Every other loss this year by Tech was because of the defense, not the offense.
And actually, Kansas' offense looked VERY poor compared to how it usually looks.

Yeah, I guess if you take away the defense of one team the other team should be able to score...

Whoa now, I'm not a Tech fan, I'm a Florida State fan. (No comment on that, btw.) And if Tech had a quarterback worth a damn, they would have easily won the game. That's just my straight un-biased opinion, Glennon just isn't that good when pressured and Taylor is a little Vick without all the skills.
I was rooting for Florida State....
You can say a million times "if" and change players for both teams to have different outcomes... If Kansas' quarterback wasn't 5'9" Tech could've one. However, he was definitely the size of an 8th grader, so Kansas won.

Kansas still could've scored twice to three times more with only very small changes. A quarterback throwing interceptions is just part of the game. When you go against a good defense you're going to throw interceptions.
I actually thought Glennon threw the ball pretty well considering how good the defense played. And he dropped a good few passes right in his receivers hands...
And from watching his goofy ass brother in the High school challenge, he looked damn good as well.
