UTEC is the way to go, if you don't want to go Hydra/Link.

STi top mount is a waste of money. Just barely larger than the stocker.

Plans for my car?

Sell it. Soon. I have my eye on a '06 WRX...

I like the UTEC (well not the price) but I have no where to go to get it tuned... I think with the little mods I want to do Cobb Ap will do the job..

You can get it tuned right here. I have tuned many of them. At least 20.

just get a reflash, 1/3 the cost of the overpriced UTEC, less issues also.

the stock IC is pretty decent for most "stage II" ish shits. a good TMIC with the stock turbo does help a little, but for what you want, i would leave it alone.

and WRX's

Install my GSX caliper/rotor upgrade
install my 8-injector setup and tune for 18-20psi.
Find/fix oil leak
Upgrade to a rear sway bar
Redo trunk setup to get rid of my HUGE box I have now
Clean up/modify the interior a bit

That's just the recent plans.

Yeah, a base map reflash with a 10:1 AFR is great...

99% of the people I know with reflashes ended up going to the StreetTuner software so they could get their car to run without blowing black smoke (and get over 15 mpg). Cost of AccesPort + StreetTuner software = more than a UTEC.

GTI: Drive it to and from work during cold weather, and try to wash it periodically. I've bought and sold two big turbo setups (~ 350-400whp ) that I never installed... and probably won't be buying another. I love the car but I don't need any more broken parts and headaches. Priorities are on to buying a house in the Spring.

ZX6R: Buying an extra set of wheels, having chrome dipped.. custom paint in the next month, few little odds and ends, jet kit, and nitrous. Then probably get a ZX10R or ZX12R and repeat that process.

last i checked, the Acessport was about 650, street tuner is 400. most of the time, a bundle when bought together is about 900. UTEC was 1200ish.

not to mention with the Accessport, you can upload maps of whatever you wish if you know what you are doing.

my mods: hardwood for kitchen, new cabinets and countertop, and some other minor interior mods
