shelor track meet

Default shelor track meet

who all would be up for a meet at the shelor drag strip on 4/28 or 5/5 for test and tunes...my car wont be on the road yet but ill be there.

I can't go to the track until I get new solid motor mounts all the way around.. WG hits the hood still... :/

so wth are you waiting for? Its been a year alread for some 30 dollar motor mounts.

No, its more like $280, and I have been trying to find other ways to fix the problem before going to 85 durometer cabin shaking solid motor mounts..

I tried filling the other two side mounts, but that didnt help either.. also tried this combined with an engine damper, which also didnt work..

If you were referring to motor mount inserts, which I have a feeling you were, I have had those since before i went turbo, I am only utilizing one at the moment obviously(in the rear) because of the lack of my front motor mount which I had to ditch for turbo clearance obviously..

SO, my problem stems from this..

Any more questions?

there was no way at all to keep your stock front bracket..maybe you could custom make one out of some steel?

no I was going to cut/shave the bracket to get around this, but there is no possible way.. I MIGHT be able to bolt it directly to the crossmember but that might be kinda rough..

another idea I had was using a chain that has no tension with very small amounts of travel until tension is reached, but thats just damn redneck.
