The rules are 7.49 and faster require a rollbar, what I wanted to know was how strictly they enforce that rule. I ran 7.45 my last time out at NB and I've gone as fast as 7.24 up in Jersey, should be a lil faster than that this year. Worst case is I get booted from MotorMile and then I'll just run at NB until I get a rollbar.

I ran a 7.2 with no rollbar and no one said anything, so I don't know.

unless you are running in a class, or are retarded, most of the street cars are unnoticed.

I don't know about a rollbar but I know they stopped one of my friends from running again in his LX because he didn't have a Fire Jacket on. He already had a cage in the car. Don't remember exactly what he was running but I do know it was in the 6s. So that would tell me that they may be a bit more strict on the rules then NB. I guess there is only one way to find out......atleast you'd get one run before they stopped you.....LOL

Yup, new rules also require a fire jacket if you're running an aftermarket power adder, regardless of your ET/mph, already have that covered. I've heard MotorMile is a nicer facility. If I get booted it'll just motivate me to get it done sooner, definitely gonna need it when the new engine goes in

Damn....regardless of your ET/mph?! I wonder what they are going to say if you have a factory power adder (i.e. the blower on my Lightning). They are a MUCH nicer facility then NB, in my opinion.

Factory power adder you're fine, guess they figure it's safe since it's an oem piece. But if you swap blowers or go turbo or add nitrous, you need a fire jacket to be legal. That rule change was last year. I heard a rumor on another board that they're thinking about lowering the rollbar requirement again, but can't confirm it.
