Alot of ppl from my area has been talking about everyone hangs out at the sheetz in salem. Just wondering if any of you go there on the weekends. Ive herd there is alot of tuners up there.

 

I've been by there a few weekend nights recently. I've seen a handful of ricers a few times, but that's about it.

 

I wouldn't bother. You can't stand around in a parking lot anymore around here... lol

You get a bunch of ricer's in doing front wheel burnouts all around you. Its amusing, for the first 5 seconds. Then its just annoying. So i'd pick a different spot to 'chill'.

 

Where would be a good spot? Any other hot spots around the area?

Not sure really. I'd avoid the 'hot spots' around here just for that reason. Maybe there could be more civilized hangouts in the Tanglewood/Panera parking lot area... Thats where I see some guys meet up, not the ricers, dont worry.

 

Will someone explain to me why ricers/tuners are used in the same sentence. From my experience most import guys (no offense to the informed) would have a hard time explaining to me the difference between a connecting rod and a crankshaft.
They have very limited to no drag racing experience but yet they talk like they have been doing it for years.

 

People can be a tuner and a ricer at the same time, in my opinion at least. I know some guys who could build an engine with their eyes closed, but still go out in their riced out cars and do burnouts on public streets, race in traffic and generally fuck around. That, to me, is a ricer. Regardless of how extensive or narrow their automotive knowledge is.

 

Well thats still a 45min drive.....But there just isnt enough Car lovers in my area i guess Imma just start hanging around my sheetz here in radford and hope someone stops.lol.
