I only looked it up because I had never heard of it, and had no idea what cementite was.

In his defense, I don't know if the information is correct or not.. but there's definitely a lot of mention of "cementite" if you do a search on Google for warped rotors or "cementite." Like I said, I had never heard of it myself, and I don't know shit about it.. Not trying to get in the middle of anything

buildup of braking material will not happen unless you are running a race pad (which i highly doubt in a taurus.....) on the street.

standard braking friction material is going to be one of three types on a standard production auto. organic, semi metallic, or ceramic. majority of cars use a semi metallic, which is made up of several blends of metals along with the organic compounds. of the three, the only ones i have ever seen have a "build up" on the rotors will be organics, and they only did that when you smoked the fucking shit out of them. one good brake application wiped them clean again though.

ceramics are the shit, last long, dont wear the rotors excessive, and dont make noise. also are clean, no brake dust either.

RTV (rotor thickness variation) is the main reason for having a pedal pulsation, but on most fords from 93 up, alot has to do with the hub runout also. you can turn a rotor and it be good and true, but put it on the car and it will have a pulsation, cause the hubs on those things have up to .008 runout

i have had several instances when turning the rotors off the car on a standard brake lathe still resulted in a pulsation, but after turning the rotors on car (with an oncar lathe such as the accuturn or the ammco) got rid of it.

I know very little about brakes.
