AAM doesn't do SR, they can but they are not specialize for SR. That's why Dan, who is now a former AAM employee, is with my friends for his SR swap. His car is almost done too, check out my cardomain web for his update.

If you are going to swap the motor or turbocharge the KA, do yourself a big favor and study up and do it yourself. Everything single piece of information you need is out there. You don't want to have to count on someone else to fix your car everytime something goes wrong.

Brssmnky...care to share some details of your setup? I see the Cobra MAF..etc. Where did you get the JWT stuff? and how much? I'm about to turbo my KA soon and, although I've read tons of info, I'd rather get it from real-world kat owners.

Thanks,
nick

If you go with just wait technologys, I would get a spare ecu and send it out now to reduce your downtime. That, or I THINK (dont quote me on this), that andreas miko down in FL has extra's and he can send them to jwt and you send him yours when it gets back. I think if you go threw andreas it's 550. If you use the cobra MAF its more.

yea, chris may's car went through a lot of shit, but that's because of bad luck imo. i think if you were to build a ka and make your own turbo kit, it would just just as expensive as getting an sr with just as much potential.

btw i have a s14 blacktop sr, 019 is right redtops are likely to have higher milage, maybe also youll be lucky, either that or try a s13 blacktop, still id try for the bigger turbo s14 if you can
no wonder your sr seemed so expensive. personally i'd get a redtop. don't need vtc, hehe. besides, i believes there's more aftermarket support for the s13 sr's than the s14's.

i don't know where you are, but if you're in the blacksburg area, jeff taylor would be more than happy to do the swap. pm him or email him if interested.

KA-T = Torque monster

after lots of deliberation and research the KA seems to be a more economical choice. easy to get parts, cheap motors, etc.

just need to find the parts now...

FMAX stage 2 kit, includes JWT fuel rail, 50# injectors, Z32 fuel pump and ford cobra maf. I had to get a ecu out of a 96 and send it to JWT for the reprogram, and then repin the harness to work with my 98. Back in the day when I sent my ecu out it was a three week turnaround. I hear now it can be months.
