you modded your exhaust, its illegal. take the ticket like a man and be done with it. this whole bullshit of dodging consequences of your own actions is what is wrong with people today. they seem to think that its ok if they do something wrong and can get away with it through technicalities or legal bullshit.

yes, the car doesnt come with mufflers stock, but it does come with a MUFFLING DEVICE thats called a resonator.

Maybe he should, but I don't agree with VA's strict guidelines on moddified vehicles. His ENTIRE exhaust is stock and intact convertor, but a 6-10" piece of pipe has been altered. I know what your saying FC, but VA's laws are unnecessarily to strict. Maybe Dodge made the SRT alittle to close to the edge of illegal/legal. Shit they would have a field day with me , but I did roll in and out of inspection without a single problem, heh.

As much as I hate to say it, I think a big part of why they are so strict is because there are so many fuckers that take advantage of it, and you know which crowd I'm talking about.

BTW, everybody keep an eye out on 581! I've seen three pretty bad accidents on 581 three days in a row, all involving cars spun around with their front ends smashed into the windshield almost. I imagine there will be a higher than average amount of police patrolling that stretch of highway for a good while now.

Anyway, I agree with both of you.. I understand that the world is a more fucked up place because no one is willing to suffer the consequences of their actions anymore, but at the same time, Andrew made a few good points. By his 'taking it like a man,' paying the fines and not trying to fight it.. it's not going to change the world. Everyone else out there is going to continue playing the system and beating it, and he's out a couple hundred bucks or however much the ticket cost. You're only beating yourself if you do that. It's free to go to court and fight it.

 

You go to Joey's shop (fc's) with a modded exhaust, don't be suprised when he slaps a big Rejection sticker on it. He doesn't put up with that shit, and if the State was to come back on the shop that did grant a valid inspection to a car that doens't meet requirements, its that shops ass.

no its not. even if you win, you still have to pay court costs. there are times when you need to realize that its not worth fighting something, 35 bucks is baby shit compared to most things in life. you know how many exhaust and equipment violations i have had in life? more then i care to pay, thats for sure, but i wasnt going to change the exhaust i had on my old Nova, so i took a 55 dollar ticket every month for a year, mainly cause i was an ignorant teenager.

did i bitch about it? nah, i made good friends with cops that way
