NO MUFFLER TICKET!!!!!!!
Well I was on my way to work today and I got stopped by state trooper COCKSMOKE, well reguardless I have removed my resonators from the exhaust. needless to say it is loud but not anoying loud.... Well he asked me why I did not have any mufflers on it.... and I told him that it did not come with a muffler from the factory. He replied" SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT A 2004 DODGE DOES NOT COME WITH MUFFLERS FROM THE FACTORY" I replied no sir, and he began to go into the, YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LIE, speech. Well i told him that i removed the resonators and that it wasent much louder.... He still wrote me the ticket. I guess what I am asking is do you think I can beat this in court if go to the dealership or get a letter from chrystler stating that they do indeed come without mufflers . This is what he wrote on the ticket, (((Impoper Exhaust "No Muffler")) So since he put that under quotations i think that i can get out of it. If i prove that it indeed does not come with a muffler from the factory! What do you guys think
The law states that you cannot modify your exhaust. You did and got caught.
Don't play if you can't pay? Just pay it and fix your exhaust.
Or, if you want to waste time and save money (possibly) - put the resonators back in, and prove that you put them back in when you go to court. This should get it dismissed.

regardless of whether or not the car came from the factory with a muffler or not, it did come with some form of a sound control device (the resonators) you removed them, you got caught, deal with it.
mother fuck.
mother fuck.

My exhaust the way it is is fine, this trooper is just a dick head, but the point that I am bringing is about what he wrote on the ticket. I told him i removed the resonators but he swore up and down that there was a muffler on it and that i had removed it also.... so thats why he wrote (no muffler ) so if i take it to court and show my slip of approval or that my car does not come with mufflers from the factory, it should get dropped right? I know i modified it and i know what i am responsible for if i got caught. The state troopers wording is what i am saying is gonna get me out of this ticket. I can put the resses back on for next to nothing so if need be.
so for now....

But, seriously, what were the situations around it? Were you driving faster than normal, or doing anything else to call attention to yourself? Were you in a place that is known for ricers (Williamson Road)?
But, to echo what everyone else said, you modified your exhaust, and it is illegal. Just be glad you still have cats on it. That's a huge fine if I remember correctly...
I believe he said the name of the trooper is COCKSMOKE. See, when you're driving an SRT-4, you're just going way too fast in our normal time continuum to actually hear people speaking. I think this is the reason for the above name.
