I know it isn't great to show what other's have done with the EXACT SAME STUFF, but it should show what the turbo can do. I don't know what you mean by run for 2 days, that car should be easily daily driveable. A 400 whp RX-7 is not like the limits of the car or anything.

We have no idea if Blake's car was even acting right before he ran Patton, he had boost problems all day long, not knowing how to set the boost controller and Intercooler piping popping off. Even I said it would be tough racing, with street tires, only having the car 2 days, etc. I told him that before they raced, BOTH times. I am not talking about what happened, or how it goes. I am just saying the car easily has the capability to beat that Cobra, and I am talking as it is now. No changing anything. I mean he has a 700+ pound weight difference, a MUCH better coefficient of drag, and only a bit less horsepower. I just don't see how noone thinks he car can make that much power or hang with a bolt-on Cobra?

If his car wasnt running well, then why race it? Have you guys ridden in an 03/04 Cobra? They may be a little heavy but I cannot imagine many cars "reeling" one back in.

I never said I wouldn't race him from a 40mph roll. I wanted to race from a low 1st gear roll (around 20mph). I rarely pay attention to the speed at which we launch anyway. We can run from 40, 60, 80mph it doesn't matter. I just like to start in first from a low roll.

Well, I am just saying. When he said lets go from a 40 you looked like you didn't really want to, and then Blake was like nevermind we will do a 20 again. But it doesn't matter anymore, next race we will set up right and not have any of these problems.

 

Dex, i got this... but i appreciate the help. Patton, i told you when you rode in my car that it wasn't running right. The night of the race, my car was running great, and thats how it should run. But for the last time, IM NOT THE BEST DRIVER, ok, thats a fact, not an excuse, and it was the 2nd day since i had got my car back. I just wanted to race Patton because im an ignorent punk that thinks he has an rx-7 that can outrun a Cobra.....If i can actually take the time and learn how to drive my car decent with the way it was running the night of the race, it IS going to be a good run! And yes in my opinion, i think i will beat you Patton, with what you have done now, but last time i thought that, we seen what happend. I got fuckin raped!!! And Steve, 330-350 at 10 lbs., that right. but i plan on running 18-20 lbs., and after i am use to all that, i have serious thoughts about alcohal injection. But im only 17 and you guys have a lot more experience at racing then i do. So i really need to wait on that. And Dex, the more that i think that my engine is blown, the more i think that its time to add another rotor......if you know what i mean. YYYEEEAAAA!!!!

Blake...personally I like the idea of another rotor...but maybe thats just me...the cobra of silvcobra is fast, but I think the rx-7 can give it a run for his money...I would be willing to get in on a little side bets...
