yea, thats what i WOULD do, but theres no way I can afford insurance on an AWD AND a bike hehe, i checked on quotes a long time ago when i was lookin at 2g tegras and 1g dsms, the 1g awd was twice as much! i mean that would be fine, but not with a bike, which will kill me as is

i almost got a 2.5RS few weeks ago..... although i was looking at 00-01 models cuz of the oem real LSD and the phase ii SOHC motor.

i suggest you stay away from the 98 model as it has the phase i dohc motor, which simply is an unreliable motor. do a lil' search on it. with your budget, i dont think you can get 00-01 models but if you are still interested in the 2.5RS, i suggest you go for the 99 model(phase ii, no lsd).
