Default Help on MBC for DSm

Well I've been looking at a lot of manual boost controllers, and look pretty simple, so I'm just gonna make one. Question is, where does it hook up? I know I have to bypass the stock BCS, but I have no idea where it is located. Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at your turbo. There is a copper cap sort of piece attached to it. This is called the wastegate solenoid. There is a pressure line coming off of this cap, follow this pressure line and it will lead you to the BCS (boost control solenoid). That is the "out" line that will be connected to your MBC. The "In" line of the MBC is connected to an intake source that is post turbo (IE: not attached to that accordian tube). Please do yourself a favor and get a boost gauge first. And dont turn the thing up over 15 until you get yourself some mods.

Yeah I got it started and everything. Got to boost back to normal, the waste gate was stuck open. The guy before me had a blitz turbo timer hooked up, but i think he only hooked it up half way, there are still plenty of wires layin around and it doesn't read above .5. The stock gague reads on mark, but I know they aren't entirely accurate. Much thanks, if I run into any problems, I'll repost. Appreciate the help.

What does a turbo timer have to do with boost though? I understand you can get the dual timer, that has the built in boost guage, but aside from a possible leak around the tapped boost source how would that effect the turbo operation?

It doesn't affect it. The gague is just wrong, just plain wrong. haha. The gague actually doesn't even work as a timer or boost gague. Its the dual turbo timer. Don't know what the deal is with it. Set it to time for 2 minutes, nothin happens. Just hooked up wrong I guess.
