Grinders are your friend in the WRX world as well. I've had to take a grinder to the front end of more than a few of them around here...

And, yes, a screen is a good idea. I got some plastic screen from a friend (think he got it at Lowes) that works like a charm. I didn't use it on my old TXS intercooler, but with the APS I have now, I have it on there. Don't want to take any chances with it...

Yeah i would love to have a nice plasma cutter all the ones i have ever used are really shitty and need new tips, but they do wonders for the modding part of automotive use

damn man. End tanks big enuf? That reminds me of the GT-R Skyline FMIC i was looking at a day ago. It seriously looked at least a foot thick, and bigger than yours by far. and the pipes looked to be 4" in diameter. 800whp Skyline *drools*
