If you want a reliable car, don't modify it. How's that saying go? Something like this, I believe: You can have a cheap car, a fast car, or a reliable car. Pick one.

To even further break that down, I think it should go more like this:

It happens to many stock vehicles, hence the Honda OEM recall on it with the bracket.
Modified cars can be very reliable provided they are taken care of and watched after. You can't take and engine, power it up to 2-3 times its original output, and expect the car to be just like it was off the factory floor. You've now created an project that you need to keep close eyes and close dibs on.

Preludes just have a ton of problems, transmissions are shitty, my reverse went out the first month I had the car, sunroof problems, cam caps, rust problems, etc etc the list goes on.. I love my car but damn if it isnt a bitch lol..
Maybe I need to get a Nissan, my truck I used to have(my dad has it now) has 178k and the only thing I have done to it is the normal stuff, changed oil, cap/rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter.. it even has the stock clutch, and its been beaten to death lol..
end of rant..

And believe me I have done any prevetative maintenance to this car thats possible I would say, I take VERY good care of my cars and research anything I do to hells end. Just nips you in the butt when you spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours working on your car and I haven't even driven the thing that much..

dude, the tranny's in those cars are just like all the other accord and prelude tranny's. Sure the gearing is different, but they're really no different. the cam cap is present on all DOHC engines and has always been known to leak. We have STR pieces up here that are CNC machine aluminum with dual o-rings for 24 dollars, I've yet to see one leak.
The majority your problems are not prelude specific. And about you never driving ur car I don't understand. Chris has almost 10k HARD miles on his coupe at 10 lbs of boost. He has not had a problem yet.

I hardly ever drive my car because it's always down with one problem or another, thats what I'm sayin, I'm not just makin all of this up lol..
I found with the SRT that my biggest issue was that I was paying a decent car payment and more money for aftermarket parts, but never getting to drive it and when I did drive it it would always have one qwerck or another. I honestly have decided that it's best to mess with a car that you have completely paid for and don't car if you drive it daily...
For me it was the fact that every month I was cutting a check for a car that I did not get to drive every day, did not drive well in the rain, could not be driven in the snow, ran like ass in cold winter months and was not really that great for long trips...
