actually, i think i'm going to purchase a different model.

i bought the one i have for like $19. so i didn't expect much. this one should cover the range i'm looking to cover. has anyone ever used one of these? i think this is a 2 watt unit. the $19 is like .25 watt

A camp i used to volenter for had a paging system with wirless pagers from radioshack.....we just took a 100ft spool of wire and ran it through the drop down cealing in a spiral and than connected it to the antennia of the pager system...for something that said good to 1 mile it went from a mile till 5 pretty damn quick...worked for me
