I bought this thing at Best Buy called a Genie that uses analog(RCA/video/S-video/etc)inputs and coverts it to a USB input to a PC,and comes with software that allows you burn it to DVD or whatever other format.
It was around $50 IIRC,and works well so far.Of course, you'd need a VCR with RCA outputs(or go to Radio Shack and get a coax to RCA converter).

I was going through a closet pulling out Christmas stuff today and found my Sony VCR with RCA/video outs. You're more than welcome to use it and my Dazzle(I looked at it,and it's not called a Genie,LOL)to convert your video.

I used a video capture card on my PC.

Plugged the VHS player into my capture card with an RCA jack.

Set the capture card to record everything being input through the RCA jacks

/Done

Of course you'll soon realize that VHS was low resolution and looks awful on a modern TV.

What I'm thinking is that if her training videos were done on VHS, it might be time to update the training anyway... so why not start over instead of converting low quality media to low quality media on a high quality format?

That's a good point, but they didn't ask me. I'm not even 100% sure it's training videos. I think that's what she said though. All she wanted to know was where to get it done. I didn't want to get too much into her business...
