VMSC Autox, March 21st official thread
my confidence is definetly gone. i drove like crap. I coned on three of my runs, including hitting two cones after the finish on my second run. My fastest run was my first which was like a low 67.xxx. Last year, I was PAXing in the top 20 regularly. ill probably finish around 50th for this event.
Even though i drove badly, i still had fun. the course was the exact course that we ran last year when it was raning, snowing, and sleeting. There were a few minor differences like the start, which i thought was awful. cant wait till the next event so I can redeem myself.

60 seconds. Nice. I'll have to try to get to the next one. I had something big come up this weekend. How often do they run these events? Is it once a month like ODR?
Check out www.vmsc.org They have events at Virginia Motorsports Park and at the Cloverleaf Mall. From what I have heard the courses will be shorter at Cloverleaf. And be prepaired for less grip both sites are asphalt.

well. w/ my coilovers if i save 1 tenth a second on each turn, there were about 25 turns, so that's 2.5 seconds for me
hehehe. yeah, we'll see

Apparently I coned on my flyer...Damn.
An observation on the BMW; you can flog the miata, you have to DRIVE the BMW. It's not nearly as forgiving.
On the MX's; they are as sticky as the ECSTA 700's on accel/decel/and steady state cornering. The only place they are not nearly as quick are in transition. We may try the Azenis.

Hey Ed just a reminder for Terry but STS tires can only be 225. Falken makes a 245/17 but that is only legal in STX. Or is he thinking about the 215/45/16?
