Hrm... we need to be on the access list for this event, right? I sent Curtis an email earlier but didn't get a response back. Am I outter luck? Website says the list goes to the Navy on Wedsnesday morning...

usually if you send the email, before hand, it will get in there. i don't think there's any need to worry.

Actually... in rain, a low-hp front wheel drive car will be much more competitive than in the dry. Big horsepower just means wheelspin in the wet!

i can vouch for that. i've won one in the rain, and finished 3rd at VMP behind Richard and Courtney. i give the credit to my paradas though.

Terry ripped to a 45.3, looked awfully good doing it. Looks like it'll be a very quick car when he's developed it. I had a 45.4 as my fastest clean run, wiped out the last cone on course on my 44.5

Terry was also running the Kuhmo MX's and they impressed me enough that I think I will make them my street/rain tires for my M3 since it is no longer my daily driver. They are not even that expensive (relatively speaking of course) considering they supposedly grip as well as the Azenis and last longer.

I was on MXs as well... they work pretty well, though they're somewhat allergic to cold weather and REALLY like to have heat in them. The wear is less than stellar on a camber limited car like mine, I envy your 3 degrees I ran 60 or so runs, 3500 miles +2 days at VIR on mine then flipped them on the rims, put another 12 runs on them since then. They do seem to like a lot of pressure, the sidewalls are a bit squishy. They launch pretty well and have good steady-state and corner exit grip though.
