SM for 2005??????
Well after looking at rebuliding my engine for HPDE events at HC/IT specs, I figure it would put me in SM for autox and cost an arm and a leg. So if I'm going into SM I'll save some $ and just drop a B16 with a LSD in the car. It should be 1/3rd the price and twice the fun!!!! My dad and I are going to trade wheels and he will run in ST2 next year. I figure that I wont have to worry about the drive train at 100+mph at VIR, and should be somewhat competative in SM, Shenfield ran the same setup at the DC tour and finished 2nd.
Well time will tell how soon it can be done but its the plan for 05!!!
VIR in the spring or bust!!!!

SM is almost the same PAX than CSP check out these facts:
PAX: CSP .837 / SM .838
CSP built engine D16 bored .040 over maybe 120HP and LSD $2500
SM B16 stock with 160hp same tq #'s and LSD shipped and all swap parts $2500
I'll run the 235/45/13's off my dads CRX so looking at the .001 PAX differance and the 40 more HP should be fun!!
Chris Shenfiels ran an equally preped 88 DX at the DC tour and finished 2nd to Matthew Braun's E36 M3 by .9sec. That is a big margine compaired to STS but that was the first real event for the Civic
