Pads above mu coefficient 0.45 are almost impossible to make "quiet". On the Evolution particularly, the Carbotech Bobcat compound made a lot of noise because it was capable of generating a substantial amount of friction at low brake line pressure. Basically the pad would start resonating because it wasn't being pushed on hard enough to dampen the vibrations. The high-temp anti-squeal goop is worth a shot. In addition, make sure the slide pins between the pad and caliper bracket are clean (q-tips+brake cleaner do a good job) and regrease them. If the noise is still driving you up the wall, use a hand file and chamfer the leading edge of the pad. That also helps quell noise.

There will also be a VMSC event at VMP on 12/5. Registration should open in a week or so. It will be limited to 100 cars since we cannot start before 12 and it is getting dark earlier every day.
