need adice on my car for autocross
Ignore people who make ignorant statments about your car or your driving.
If your out there learning and being humble, cool people will always help you out. It makes learning faster and easier.
Stay confident. The point of those Inital D cartoons is that anyone can become a champion if they stay humble and practice hard enough.

As for the auto-x...the few times I did it (and LOVED it), I learned that air pressure plays an ENORMOUS role in the way the car handles. Find a friend that is experienced and roll out with him. Cobra4B, Bandit, Leoleoleoleo, and ZweetdreamZ showed me the ropes and got me to a point where I at least didn't make a complete fool of myself out there...it made it easier to accept my mistakes having someone tell me that it's common.
Also, be aware that for competition, you may be outclassing yourself AND your car with the mods you haev done to it. But that's something you'll haev to determine when someone breaks down the classes with you. I was placed in a class that WAY out-did my car, simply because of a turbo upgrade.

Me too, but it was simply for my Gears and my suspension..
Practice and seat time is everything..
Larry don't worry about cones... I've smacked many of them. If they leave any cone rash it comes off with paint cleaner easily. I've never had a permanent mark from a cone.
January 8th at Pungo is the next event
Its a Beachcomber's event so there will probably be a lot of vettes out there to spank up on.
Dont worry about cones. All you need is a cloth and some cheap polish or scratch remover and some elbow grease.
Worst case scenario is you hit about a million cones at VMP where they set up courses that are fast and then you let it bake on the car for a week. Then itll take about twenty five minutes with a buffer and some rubbing compound.
