STX allows any breaks.

I'll see if I can find it in the rules

That was quick

17.11 STX
A.9 Brake rotors and calipers are unrestricted, but must be attached to the origional attachment points.

I knew it was in there because I was looking at changing the breakes on my SpecV(sold)

Cool they are attached to the original attachment points. Pretty weird where else are you gonna put brakes?

I know this is going to be a new experience and when I said good i meant in the top 75% of the group or whatever. Driving in Naples, Italy is like a Maze my friend only its not cones its real cars and mopeds and bikes and people walking and trucks and buses...well you get the picture.

Thanks again for the replies.

Heh, welcome to the world of the rulebook. They have to make rules very awkward sounding and specific to minimize how people could interpret them. Any little bit of ambiguity, and someone with their thinking cap on will try to figure out a way to capitalize on it.

Has it always been like that for STX. I thought about 3 years ago if you upgraded the brakes you were in SM. It was a stupid rule. Glad it was changed.

if you use a different knuckle, some of them have the calipers mounted on the other side (front to back or vice versa).

1st newbie thing i would stress is the checking air pressure w/ the shoe polish over the sidewall trick.
