Well once again I proved that when it counts, I produce crap, but when it doesn't, the good stuff comes out. What exactly do I mean? Well, best time when it counted: 37.9xx; Best time when it didn't count (fun runs in 4th heat): 36.6xx. This is the second event in a row when this happened. I don't know, maybe a bad trend has started !!!

I still had a good time though. It was nice not to race in the rain for a change .

good job sean. i was working the course when you were out there. you were looking very smooth, and it seems that you didn't have your oversteer problem as much. did you fix/change anything w/ the car?

225/50/16's that are 4 lbs lighter per rim/tire than before, it felt alot better than the ass swinging out at every single turn

I really dont care about my times except that they were improving minus the gay last one which was horrible. I am used to a lite/light?, underpowered car with r compounds and switching to a heavy, powerful, good braking car with streets... it takes alittle getting used to but since my times were getting lower and lower then it means that I am getting the hang of the car more and more so maybe i will be competative later on but this isnt my goal. I would find myself in mid turn and brake checking uslessly cause i wasnt used to that much speed and i realized that i could be full throttle so it was wierd trying to find teh cars limits. (which i havent done yet) R compounds and suspension are going to be awesome, now i just need some money money money! I ran a 39.5 as my fastest. . Fun day though.

edit: oh oh oh what the (fill in blank) was up with this wholeshot thingy that they did by letting the guys launch straight. Bobby Smith flagged me and made sure i wasnt at any angle to make the 90 degree turn at the start any striaghter. I find this completely unfair becuase it is clearly faster and an advantage to get the extra mph with the straight launch before they trip the timers. Why was this allowed and not regulated when it was not an option to all of the cars?? Someone fill be in because i was working and saw this happening and got heartbroken and had no details about it...

You can do whatever you want before you start the timers at a Solo II event. The start lights were way too far from the stage line which led to the backing up and drag launches. The course should of had a wall of pointers leading to the first gate to prevent this from happening, as I heard suggested in grid. The rules are well known and published but it pays dividends to know them. I did one drag launch and it hurt my times more than it helped.

out of my two runs, the drag run was horrible, but faster than my 90 degree launch and smooth run. of course, my clutch was probably like jello on that second run too.
