Others pick up your cones, and you pick up theirs.
Everyone who drives in a heat has to work another heat. Assignments are: cone fixing, cone calling/flagging, start, pre-grid, time writer, time caller, and time giver. Usually we have 5 work stations with 2-3 people on each (i.e. 1-2 chasing cones and one calling in penalties/handling red flag duties.) So it takes about 20 people to handle one heat worth of work assignments.
If it is a 2-heat event... heat 1 drivers work heat 2, heat 2 drivers work heat 1.
If it is a 3-heat event... heat 1 drivers work heat 2, heat 2 driver work heat 3, heat 3 drivers work heat 1.
Everyone gets their work assignment either at registration or immediately after the drivers meeting.
Helmets need to be Snell M95/SA95 or newer/better, so yours without the sticker still isn't legal.
We have a bunch of loaner helmets available, first come first serve in each heat once the cars are in grid. Just leave your drivers license at the timing table for collateral.

Although we may not catch that during the tech inspection, I'd strongly recommend getting it fixed before the autocross. Last thing you want is to break the CV joint itself (because it dried out due to ripped boot/lack of grease), which could leave you stranded. It could also be dangerous if it happened on course during a run.
