Albo from Springfield has introduced a bill in the General Assembly to ban NO2 in a car used on the highways unless the (1) feed line is diconnected from the engine or (2) the bottle is removed from the car. Technically you are already not allowed NO2 in autocross. It is not legal to use in any of the classes and if you go by the letter of the rules it is not legal to have it even in the car while you run. I know it is a different issue to the drag racers, but I don't see it having any effect on autocrossers.

 

i'm all for it... it will teach gay ricers how to acutally make their rides fast by acutally upgrading and tuning

 

And how exactly are they going to enforce this? Funny smelling exaust is now going to be probable cause to search your vehicle?

Its just something that if they see when they pull over a wing that they can write a ticket for.

 

Some states already have this law, it's pretty easy to bypass...just disconnect the feed line from the tank when you don't need it (better have a good valve on that tank!)

This has nothing to do with autocrossing, because weather the feed line is hooked up or not its not legal.
