Default wiring up knock sensor

Hey, I need to know if I am suppose to solder the two wires coming off the knock sensor plug together before going to the ecu, cause it says the knock sensor only goes to one pin, so what should I do exactly?

shielded wire is meant to be grounded on the external one.

meaning the center wire is the terminal, the other end goes to a good ground.

Is anyone sure that the knock sensor is 2 wires, or is it one? I havn't really dealt with knock sensors b4, so I am not sure how to identify one, all I know is that it's at the back of the block.

What motor first off? That would help to determine if you have a knock sensor. The knock sensor, if you have one, will be right under the intake manifold. You will also have a oil sending unit, 1 wire, and a temp sending unit, which is 2 wires but closer to your oil filter.you can also just ground the wire coming from you ecu instead of running a knock sensor. You should know if your engiune is knocking.

It's a b16a2 engine, how do I know which wire is for grounding. And is the knock sensor actually 2 wires or only 1. cuz on a diagram i was looking at it never showed two wires coming off, only one.

Hey guys, I really need to know asap, is it the left or right terminal on the knock sensor that has to be grounded. I need to talk to someone who has done this.
