Which Wire to HOOK up to???? 99 civic
hey Gang,
i have this air/fuel gauge that i just installed and i need to know which wire on the oxegen sensonr does it hook up to. i have a 99 civic ex 4 wire sensor. and i need to know which wire is it. The gauge has 4 wires.....1(-) 2(+) 3(IGN) 4..goes somewhere to the oxegen sensor....but i dont know where?? can some one please help...
Also i installed OIL pressure sensor..and i know the sensor boot has 2 wires and does anyone know which one it goes to.....

Why don't you post the brand and model of the A/F gauge? That would help. Most A/F gauge manufacturer's post their installation instructions online. Check out that if you can. Hope that helps.

if it's an autometer gauges it'll have a purple/red/black/white wire coming off the back.
the black is the ground, red is the power, white is the switched 12v for the backlight I believe, and the purple is the feed for the a/f meter. the purple is the one you tap onto the wire off the ECM. The primary o2 sensor wire off the ECM should be the largest white wire with a very faint pink stripe on it. hope that helps some. if it's a diff. brand just let us know.

Heck yeah!! Now you said that the Civic will have a Thck White wire with a faint pink on it? And i would have to connect the gauge wire to that Right? I only have 3 wires comming out of the gauge....Red, Black, and Gray. The gray would connect to that white one on the O2 sensor....right? YOU ROCK DUDE!!!

yeah if there are only three wires then the red will be the power, the black will be the negative, and the gray will be the input for the o2.
