Im doing a swap into my ef. I have a d16y8 with a stage 4 6 puck sprung competition clutch with the stock hydro tranny.
I just picked up a cable crx si tranny with lsd. im trying to figure out if I can keep the clutch I already have or if im going to have to buy a new one.
Any input would help a lot!

Depends on the year of the trans and engine. 88,89,90-91 have different clutches. 88 is a 21 spline clutch, 89 is a 20 spline with a 7.875" clutch, 90-97 (maybe more?) is a 20 spline with 8.375" clutch. The same clutch is listed for pretty much all Civic/del Sol/CRX applications from 90-97, which are obviously a mixture of hydro and cable depending on the year.
So you should be good to go if you've got a 89-91 CRX trans (the 89 should have the same input shaft even though it used a smaller clutch).

I just found this out by poking around the application selection guides on a clutch manufacturer site. I didn't even use Google.
