I am always having emissions problems. Anyways thought someone could help me out on this one. I have a 2001 Prelude. It was an auto but man swap. Recently got the car couple months ago and when i went to get emissions I couldnt pass because something was wrong with the OBD connector. Would the manual swap have anything to do with it? or is it a problem with the ecu? Would appreciate some help. Thanks.

 

the car may be running an OBd 1 ecu on a jumper harness, pull the carpet from under the glove box on the passenger side floor and check your ecu code. If it has a obd 1 ecu, its will not pass va emissions with that ecu in the car as it not compatible with obd 2 emissions equipment.

 

yep. If it's a hondata system, you need a obd2 ecu, and a good cat and o2 sensors, or you "garage" your car in another county that doesnt require emissions and pay their property taxes. You have to do that at dmv btw

yup was a female. now u gotta move the penis around to make it go. manual swap. Got it how it is. i wouldnt bother spending time/money on a bb6. h22 is a different story.

 

Problem not solved. If the car is registered in Nova he will still need emissions.
