just get a replacement egr valve, in my personal experiences almost anytime i use to get a CEL my vtec would not engage.

no you can block the egr with a plate, but you need to have it turned off in ur comp to not have a cel

Fuck the egr. KMS block off plate ftw. I don't think its going to fix your problem. I had an issue with my knock sensor. Check wiring. Did you check the cap and rotor?

A non functioning or missing egr valve will not cause limp mode. If op needs an egr valve, I have one that I removed from my H22 running a non chipped p-13 and hitting vtec on a daily basis without throwing an egr code.
