Visual difference, TypeR vs. GSR or Si cams.

Visual difference, TypeR vs. GSR or Si cams.
I need to pick up a set of type R cams for my turbo motor and found a kid locally who's selling a set. I don't know how to visually confirm that they are TypeR cams and not some other B series cams. Is there a way I can make 100% sure I'm not getting conned into buying GSR cams?

Yes. Carry a set of calipers. Measure the lobe lift. It has approx 1 mm more lift on the Type R cam, with should translate into about .6mm difference in the lobe height, given the approx 1.5 rocker ratio....

there is a thread on HT, that has pictures of all the different b-series cams..
the ends of the cams (the dizzy side), all have very distinguished marks, to tell the difference...
i will try and find it for you, and post it.
there are more, that was jus the first one i found.
