Ive been searching for the specs list that i got those numbers from to post up. i think they were in my haynes manual for the car if im not mistaken. i will post it when i find it.

the numbers will go up if throttle is wide open.

So are those high numbers for the throttle to be shut?

yea i would say. when my throttle was shut it was around 190 across all four. then they shot up after throttle was wide open.

yea i would say they are considering the throttle was shut. mine were around 190. then shot up when throttle was wide open. BTW I'm referring to a 2000 USDM Type R.

When i had my usdm type r motor, the compression was 220 all the way across with the throttle shut. motor was bone stock

225 to 235 from what i remember. its been almost 2.5 years since ive done the compression test on it. that was pre rebuild. i bent a valve and since the head was off, I went ahead and put new rings and pistons in. if yours is 215 with throttle shut, then your motor still has very good compression. thats still not bad even if the throttle was open. I wasnt saying your motor numbers were low in my first post, i was just stating what i remembered the specs were, thats all.
