i think they are suppose to be around 260 or 275 if i remember correctly. could be wrong tho.

ok. when i rebuilt mine a thought i had seen those numbers on a spec listing. sorry for wrong info. mine still came out a lil more than 215 tho. mine varied from 225 to 235. but i guess you wont see much of a difference in that anyways.

well, compression number are affected by many many things.
-if you do it with throttle open/closed
-motor cold/warm
-if your motor has valve seals leaking/not
-gauge brand even makes a difference
All in all the most important thing about a compression test is the continuity across all cylinders. 10-15 variance is ok. more than that is worth continuing onto a leakdown test.

I always saw a little more than that even on my GSR... but like others have said, there's lots of variables to explain it...
