Default Turbo Timers

I know it keeps the motor running...what is the purpose for it? Im new to turbo set ups. The car I am buying doesnt have a timer.

turbo timers are used to cool down the turbo / oil in the turbo to keep it from burning up inside the turbo housing ..(as i was told) which is why you let it cool down before you turn the car off thus it increases the life of the turbo

use a good synthetic and leave your car running for like 30sec after hard driving and save yourself 120+. that's a lot of oil and torco.
