You can, but you'd only get like 2-3mpg difference. Not worth the time money or energy.

im not looking for MPG. I'm looking to cut down on the drone at cruising speeds on the highway and when I boost it, have a longer pull in 5th.

bulllll shit i saw a night and day difference, you go from 4500RPMS in 5th gear at 50 mph to like 3100rpms in 5th at 50mph

Matt, ask grant about my white hatch, i had the same setup trans wise and it was great

Bullshit on that. My b16 was only at 4500, at 80mph and a friends b20 with type r trans was a hair over 5. I've driven gsr's and at 80, you're at 4,000.

so wait....100rpms =10mph? that's what you are saying according to other info that was posted by another member.

70mph in a b16 was right at 4grand, no give or take, I drove it daily and beat the piss out of it on occasion.

I'm not sure if it was the 4.4 or 4.7 fd trans tho on the Itr trans

DP has a 4.7 and i had the 4.7.....changing out to a 4.4 and or LS 5th with make a world of difference.
