Yeah, keep the motor, ditch the Honda, and get something that's already RWD.

As others have said, Miata, any Datsun you can really think of, any old roadster (MG, Triumph, hey...even a Honda S800 or something ), E21 3-series BMW, whatever.

E30 would definitely be interesting. It'd probably be way more fun in an E21 though, they're pretty light. Plus they look cooler.
