i would say go for it. but why not just put the k20a2 in the car. buy one from a junk yard or you can get one for about 3800 and put the toda kit on it for another 2300. I dont know what the price is for the install. but i think if i remember right. it shouldnt be that hard to do. they have kits out there for the motor mounts and i think you need the cross member from under a rsx. But with that you should have a pretty quick car. plus the ability to be a lot faster. it doesnt take much money to get the k20a2 to 200hp. and with the toda kit make a lot more. but its up to you. i would do it. so yes i think its worth it

I would at least consider the swap mang. Or maybe sell the auto, and pick up a used 5-speed.

seems that it would be very expensive just to put the engine into ur car seeing that the tranny is on the other side of the car and the only way to put it in is from underneath(rsx anyways....not sure about puttin it in a civic)

Yeah, i noticed that shit. But i aint skeered. I wasnt too sure if i was gonna turbo it or not anyhow, cause thats just more money to think about. All in all, if i do push forward with this project, its probably gonna run me about 20k. Maybe a bit more. 10k for the swap and 10 for all that other shit. Im glad i might be gettin promoted Steve, then i can afford this shit, and maybe get a Subaru once im done with the Civic. Glad to see my boys givin me a the green light on this. And no one answered me as to who would be best ( i mean a shop) at doing the swap? What shop has done really good work on anyones car here and would probably be optomistic about doing this kind of swap?

Gimme 7 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

T worry about the basics for right now, be able to handle well and stop well, then once you save up that dough for the motor youll probably rather drop a fat down payment on that wrx, so chill out on the motor homie itll be awhile anyways, plus the wrx will be much more fun

We are currently working out the logistics of a swap of this magnitude. We are estimating the swap to be in the $10000 range. It's not as easy as it looks...have to replace lower subframe in front and get custom mounts..and wiring?? and auto to 5 conversion?? We have a 2001 Civic that were using as a donor that we'll be working on for the good part of this winter. I'll keep DRAGVA updated on it's progress.
