Default Steering issue

Vehicle- 96 Ford Ranger 2.3L 175xxxmiles
Problem:

Driving home yesterday and had the radio off (always turn it down around the houses) and I started pulling into my driveway and my truck made this weird noise. So I experimented for a little bit and not long did I come to the conclusion that everytime I turn my steering wheel this noise occurs. Type of noise? a variation to a door that needs some WD40 in my opinion. Very low pitched.

Any hints on what I need to do?

thanks in advanced

Try checking your PS fluid level. It kind of sounds like your PS pump is sucking a little air. Good luck.

If it's a buzzing noise, it's fairly common. I would still check the fluid.
