Re: sometimes hard shift and noise when press in clutch
Being hard to put in gear is a sign the clutch is draging. If it drags, don't take your foot off the clutch. Shut the engine off, retry to put it back into gear. Is it still hard to put into gear? Also if you can find someone to help you. Try to recreate the problem in your driveway. When it happens, keep your foot on the clutch. Have a friend try to use a pry bar to help move the clurch release arm further. Than try to put it in gear again, did this help? Also jack up the car. ENGINE OFF!!!. Remove the dust shield. use two pry bars, one between the block and flywheel, and one between the block and crank pulley. Pry back and forth on the crank. We are checking that the crank can't be moved forward and backward in the block. Shout back at us with some answers.

Re: sometimes hard shift and noise when press in clutch
i greased the shift linkage the best i could and saw the boot on the part that goes to the tranny is torn and there is little gravel pieces in it.
i dont think those little pieces could cause it to not shift sometimes though
anyone have ANY ideas??

i didnt have a chance to do anything with anyone else and i didnt do the turn off thing. its kind of hard to in busy traffic but i will def try it and see if it changes anything. what would be signs of the clutch dragging? what exactly does that mean?

Re: sometimes hard shift and noise when press in clutch
the noise could be alot of things......my guess would be TOB....
i have a question for you though what are you mods on your teg.....is there really a reason for a stage 2 clutch on a car that has a hard time breaking 150 ft lbs.....that just puts extra stress on your trans/axels/and that beautiful lsd

i just bought the car. all i know of as far as mods is the usual intake and somewhat custom exhaust and the B16 tranny with the lsd and clutch. it may have some internal mods but im not sure of it. i dont know for sure if it has a stage 2 but it doesnt feel much like a stage 2 clutch.
ive driven others with a stage 2 clutch and it was MUCH MUCH more sensitive. and thats why im starting to think its something to do with the cable. maybe its not tight enough to fully disengage the clutch. it eventually gets stiff at the very end of the pedal travel. but the first 3/4 of the way is effortless
