would the oil pump be good at 6psi? the kit im looking at is wastegated at 6psi from what ive been told ( im the person he started this thread for...just signed up a few days ago)

Those Y8 motors are hit and miss. Some are strong and some eat oil pumps/get rod knocks.

If everything is ok. Boost it. 8 pounds is the most I'd do if it was a daily driven car.

hey, how many pounds was that 240 pushin you were in on 17. I was the passenger in the primered stock SI yall raced. We stopped at taco bell afterward for like 10 minutes.

any recomendations on where i can get a better oilpump? the motor only has 85k so i think the internals should be good for a little while until i throw some forged shit in there.....im looking at a kit from eddlebrock which is 6-7 psi...will my stock fuel pump work at that level?....im also getting a new clutch because the stock clutch is shit.....are lightweight flywheels good or bad on turbo setups(sorry if its a dumb question....just trying to learn shit).....i wish money grew on trees

It was a stock SR20de-T w/ Greddy Hardpipes.

If it were dry out, it woulda been a different story.

Stay stock flywheel. Get it turned with a good clutch.

Get a walbro 255. Get tuned.

No Tune.
Go Boom.

lol, t'was fun none the less. I finally got rid of that POS eclipse. Workin on getting a turbo-back for the wrx.
