Default skunk2 mani problems

i installed a skunk2 manifold on my b18b and now it idles between 13-1500 rpms and it doesnt seem like i gained any power it feels as if i lost some. i did have to eliminate/bypass i beleive it is called the fast idle control valve. could that be the reason fo rthe high idle? anyone who has installed or experienced these problems let me know what to look for. i didnt find any vacuum leaks

when you installed the new manifold, did you reset the idle set screw on the throttle body?

With that new manifold more air is getting in so you need to adjust the air input.

yup. she's correct. (damn jenn, getting smart about this shit)

its easy to do too. on the left side and just above the TB opening, you see a set screw about 1cm in diameter with a slit in it. Turn that to the right to lower the idle (restricts air in) and to the left to raise the idle (let more air in). Do that to your desired RPM.

yes i replaced all gaskets anbd i did play with the set screw on the tb. it was not a sensor i bypassed, on the ls manifold there was a canister looking thing that had a small coolant line going to it then another line leaving it going onto the manifold , the skunk 2 manifold didnot have a place for this coolant bypass looking thing to bolt to so i just ran a hose in place of it, but anyway it seems to being ok now but it idles around 1300 and when i do play with the idle screw it doesnt do much help, but i do have a small vacuum leak at the tb so that is my problem, it makes an annoying whistle at times to where it sounds like a ebay turbo noise maker,
