should i turbo my car
not saying these are the numbers...say you have your 420a. it flows 100cfm stock... you can maybe get it to 150cfm max after full port polish and what not. Then take the 4g63. which comes in at 150cfm factory. port polish and what not, she will get around 200, 220cfm. That head is based on boost and making power. The 420a head is based off making low end power for daily driving. just putting a intake manifold on wont really gain shit, in some cases lose power..and port match...that does keep a smooth flow into the head. But I still say start with somthing better than 420a. But..look at me...im still turboing honda d series...they are the bottom of the bag in hondas...lol...but...i do believe they are better than a 420a.
ya the 420a after all is a dodge neon motor basicly just diff pistons,

well...How much power you looking for? Im not 100% up on 420a internals. But i know stock cast pistons arent gonna last to long on boost. Mine lasted 10months in my civic on 11psi to aruond 15psi. that was also on a bigger sized turbo. t3/t04e 57trim. smaller the turbo less damage each PSI wil do. But just remember...on cast pistons, the time is ticking fast before ring lands or somthing breaks. Mine just popped a pe size hole in #3 pistons. and I was tuned on crome fuel managment. But inthe end...its costed me more to fix it from boostin stock internals, cause it messed my walls up, messed my head up, put lil nicks all in my head, so i had to get new everything. ended up costin alot. should have just put pistons and rods / bearings in from beginning. So if I were you..Id find some pistons / rods / bearings. and boost it, or just get a diff car all around.
thats a good point, i have a garrett t3 t4 hybrid i think, just got it today on a trade from a guy on here for one of my laptops, anyway thought about throwing that on and running about 5-8 psi let me know if anyone has done this
thats what i herd, my buddys got a rs eclipse said he started like me, and now he just got his car out the shop after blowing the engine on 15psi on stock internals, spent about 15gs and now has a spoon engine from a 420a block and can push up to 30psi and if i rmember right is pusing about 500 hp
spoon engine from a 420a block? lol, dont start scarring me talking about spoon...lol..i havent heard that name since fast and furious...the first one.
