Sandwich plate leaking oil !!!!!!!!!
Ok i just hooked up my sandwich plate and oil feed line on my d-series. I put it on with the grooved side facing the block with the the gasket it came with and the flush side facing the filter. Now when i tried to prime my turbo, oil started coming out from between the block and plate. I took the filter and plate off and noticed the inside of the filter was bone dry. I tightened the plate some more and put the flter back on and tried it again, sure enough oil is still coming out. Do i have this thing on backwards or somthing? Hit me up with any ideas.
Are you sure that it is leaking from between the block and the plate? The reason I ask is because I have seen several times on others, plus I myself have had to deal with the fact that some sandwich plates are slightly bigger than they should be and the standard Honda oil filter o-ring is not big enough.
To fix this I have had to use the bigger S2000 oil filter or the even bigger K&N oil filter.
If it is leaking from the block side, then maybe your o-ring needs to be replaced...there is a scratch/crack on the mating surface...or you have the wrong sandwich.
Good luck

Well i pulled the plate off and saw a crease in the plate/block o-ring so it was probobly off set. But it got too dark for me to try and see if it is holding oil. Ill see 2morow.
