Default repeated tail lamp fuse blowout

95 civic hatch....

One day the parking lights decides not to work...

Checked fuse, burnt..replaced fuse, turned parking lights on, fuse blows out.

Checked all bulbs, replaced the two 194 bulbs in the rear and the left parking/brake bulb (left unplug since I didn't have a bulb for it..

Replaced fuse, still burnt out when parking lights turned on..

I'm going to do some more testing tomorrow, but figured what your guys input would be.

I searched and found another guy had the same problem and he found out to be the sidemarkers prongs were touching causing the fuse blowout..Problem is I don't have sidemarkers..

I also checked the wires for any cuts or pinches near the bulb connector, everything looks fine and new...

ALSO, when stepping on the brake, lights work, turn signals work...

Well consistent blowing of the same fuse indicates excessive amperage going through that circuit. You got a short somewhere, there is definetly something wrong with the wiring, check closer to the bulb section, maybe a wire was pulled a little, and exposed therefore shorting out. Let us know what happens.

Yea I solved the problem. The dimmer wire behind the headunit was exposed, so I covered it up and now no blown fuse...hopefully this is a permanent fix...

thanks guys for your input..
