Removing a/c
Nope, refrigerant and atmosphere dont mix, at least in lawmakers eyes. Keep your a/c man. Downpipes aren't hard to modify and all you have to do to lose the drag associated with the a/c is floor it. Hondas have a WOT switch that breaks the current to the compressor clutch when its punched. Or just turn it off for like 30 seconds and romp on it. A freewheeling a/c pulley has almost no resistance. And if you decide to do it anyway, at least take it to a shop and have them recover it. Do your part to help our reputation as car enthusiasts. Oh yeah and to answer the question, removing everything is easier than doing a brake job if you ask me. You dont even have to put anything back on just rip shit out. good luck
r12 is illeagle to vent in the open 134a is safe but it is still a good idea to have it properly done it can get in your eyes and that isnt good but once it is evacuated properly just remove whatever is int the way
Just yank the line off the compressor and leave the scene for about an hour or so (leave the garage door open). Who the hell cares what Al Gore thinks. The rest is elementry: remove the compressor, condensor and all the lines that were associated with it and get the proper size belt to run without the compressor.
