Default Quick wheel question on MR2s

A buddy of mine is on the market for some new wheels, but is unsure of what will fit flush. I don't think he's looking for a big lip, I'm pretty sure he's just looking to fit a really wide wheel without going widebody (but he's willing to roll fenders). Anyone have experience with this and have some suggestions for some 17's?

I've seen some guys run 17x8s with about a +35 offset, you can't really run low offset wheels mainly because the distance between the mounting face and the outside of the fender well isn't that large. Check out MR2OC.com or MR2.com , the forums there should give you the answers you're looking for.
