Default Question About Tach

I know another question but I meant to ask this one in my other one so..... thanks for the advice on my other one except the obvious "i have nothing better to do but to post" people. anyways....

the tach hooks up to the distributor on hondas right? everyone at my job has a domestic and theirs hooks up to the distributor so do the hondas also? just a discussion we were having at work and i wanted to know where or even if on the distributor it would go?
